France

Established in 1996, ISSP France is a non-profit consortium bringing together various national institutions and research centers. The principal contacts for the consortium are given below.

National institutions and research centers contributing to ISSP are: French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the National Foundation for Political Science (FNSP).  Together these Organizations also present data on an ISSP France Homepage.

More specifically, the following research laboratories, affiliated with the aforementioned institutions, are involved in France-ISSP activities:

PACTE

with a research team mainly interested in scrutinizing social change in France and other advanced industrial societies during the last 30 years.

Centre for Socio-Political Data (CDSP)

archiving socio-political data and conducting research in political sociology, with an emphasis on quantitative survey research.

Maurice Halbwachs Center

Its research focuses on social stratification and social mobility, education, professions, social networks, organizations, and labor markets.

Department of Sociology of the FNSP

The aim is to study social change in France during the last 30 years and to compare this to other advanced industrial societies.
